Jim Davis, minister of praise & worship

Jim, a native of Blackwell, Oklahoma has been serving as a minister of music since 1958. Thirty-one of those years were spent at First Baptist Church of Tulsa. Jim has served as a guest director and soloist for many major Southern Baptist events including: the Pastor’s Conference of the Southern Baptist Convention; The Baptist Hour; Music Week and Youth Week at Glorieta and Ridcrest Baptist Assemblies. Jim has also freguently directed the choir at Falls Creek Baptist Assembly. He has been a soloist with the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma for 39 years. We are glad that Jim has made a full circle serving here at Trinity where he began in 1958.

Dear Friends of Trinity Baptist Church, Just a word of grateful praise to you, one of the finest congregations in the world. Giving this old musician an opportunity to come back here with my little bag of tricks the Lord has given me, and worship with you would be one thing. But through Rod Harris every week and this fine adult choir to work with, is way beyond my comprehension. You are truly wonderful. Then the Lord puts together Rebekah Anderson, Dee Smith, and Jessie Harris to give us accompaniment for our services – that is a true blessing. I also need to thank you for your support shown to us through the “Yuletide Tulsa 2004” Christmas program. All of you have been quite vocal in your praise for the program. These programs are a lot of work for a lot of people, but when you love it so, it makes it all worthwhile. God has blessed us beyond measure and we’re grateful to Him.
