On My Mind...

I want to thank everyone for a great job yesterday.  We had a wonderful morning service as we focused on the grace of God exhibited in Gabriel’s visit to Mary with the announcement of the coming of the Christ.  Then we celebrated the Lord’s Table together.  It is always a special time as we gather in remembrance looking back to what our Lord accomplished on the cross and we look forward to that time when we will gather around the table in glory.

Sunday evening was a special time as we rang in the Christmas season with our annual “Hanging of the Greens.”  I appreciate all the work Russell put into the service in planning the music, working with the choir, putting together the readings and coordinating with the children’s choir and other musicians.  It was a beautiful service.  Then, thanks to everyone who brought food for the fellowship after the service.  Thank you to Rheadon for organizing the fellowship, overseeing the set up and clean up.  It was a sweet time of fellowship around the tables.

We will not have another Sunday evening service until after the New Year.  We will gather on Wednesday, the 24th for our annual Christmas Eve Service.  We will not meet on Wednesday, December 31, but we will gather for New Year’s Day Breakfast on January 1!

I look forward to seeing you Sunday as we gather for worship.  Have a blessed week!

Rod
