Some thoughts...

This coming Sunday is Mother’s Day.  Being a mom is a hard, difficult and often thankless job.  It requires long hours, patience, negotiation skills, and the heart of a warrior.  You have to deal with immaturity, temper-tantrums, pouting and whining – that’s just your husband, then you have to deal with the children!  I remember reading an author who, after listing all the trials and struggles of motherhood said, “If I had it all to do over again…I don’t think I have the strength!”  Moms, thank you for all you do and have done.  Thank you for the long hours, the patient care and the fervent prayers.  Thank you for the listening ear and the reassuring smile.  We may not say it often enough, but we are grateful, and you are loved.

Sunday will be a big day for us.  It’s Mother’s Day but it is also “Graduate Recognition Day.”  We will recognize our 3 graduates during the morning service and we will be observing the ordinance of baptism on Sunday.  We will also continue in our study of Esther so, I hope that you will join us in worship this coming Lord’s Day.

I’ll see you Sunday.
