On My Mind...
Can you believe it’s May already? Graduations are coming soon, the end of another school year which means summer activities and VBS! I want to remind you, as you learned in Sunday’s bulletin, we need to hear from you if you have a high school or college graduate. We would like to recognize our graduates on Mother’s Day, May 11. We need to you contact Megan in the church office so that we can get all the information and be prepared to recognize your graduate on May 11. You can call the office or email her at office@tbctulsa.org.
In last week’s newsletter I talked about the Nicaragua Mission trip scheduled for June 27 – July 4. I also told you we have 8 going from our fellowship as part of the 26-member team headed up by Nathan and Maryem Smith. We have committed to raise $6,000 for supplies and materials needed for the mission projects. We also encourage you to support those going with their costs. If you want to give to the project, mark your envelop “Nicaragua Project.” If you want to help with team members’ expenses, mark your envelop “Nicaragua Scholarship” and add the individual’s name. I’m happy to report that as of this morning we have received $4,038 towards our $6,000 goal and $3,334 in scholarship funds. Thank you for your support!
Don’t forget Sunday, May 4, is our First Sunday Luncheon. Bring food enough for your family and a little extra to share with others. It’s always a great time of fellowship as we gather around the tables but it’s not the same without you.
I look forward to gathering with you for worship this coming Lord’s Day!
