On My Mind...
It is the most covetted culinary prize, “Chili Champion” in the annual Trinity Souper Bowl Challenge. Okay, maybe that’s an exageration but it is fun. This Sunday evening, February 8, we will gather in our Fellowship Building for an evening of food, fellowship and fun. There will be two categories in the competion. You may enter the chili or soup competion, or both. Prizes will be awarded in each for first, second and third place. If you are not entering the competion, you may bring an appetizer, side dish or dessert. We will start gathering around 5:00 pm, judging will be at 5:30 pm. There may be a couple of other things going on as well, corn hole perhaps? I hope you will join us, it’s always fun and yes, the game will be on the screen if you want to watch but we know why we are really there.
I also want to remind you of the brunch on Saturaday February 14 for widows and widowers sponsored by our youth. A wonderful meal is being prepared for you. Make sure you let us know you are coming. You can speak to Kylie Harris or you can call the church office. We need to know by the 8th so that we make sure we are adequately prepared.
Please continue to pray for our study group as they continue to work through our church documents as we seek to make membership meaningful by making sure we are accountable to and for one another. Our goal is to take seriously our responsibility to love one another well. Also, pray for our Good News Club at Robertson Elementary meeting on Mondays after school. Of course, we also that you continue to pray for the mission trip to Nicaragua coming in June. The deadline for sign up is April 1. Pray for Nathan and Maryem as they are currently putting plans in place for this year’s trip. We will share details as they are available.
Meanwhile, keeping working on those recipies as I look forward to gathering with you this coming Lord’s Day. Have a blessed week, and I’ll see you Sunday.
